System and process implementations
Just like the
training support and development services, this service focuses on the
back office finance processes. Unlike the training support and
development services, this does not just apply to Dynamics Nav or MS
Accounting. This service may be required for a 'broken' implementation
or for a new implementation. Typically a 'broken' implementation is
characterised by lack of completed deliverables. This means that the
new system may not be in use and subject to extensive repetitive user
acceptance testing and / or simulations. No expectation of meeting a go
live date. Not able to confirm a revised go live date.
If any of this applies
to your implementation, it is 'broken' and requires fixing!
Equally
if you are about to embark on a new system implemention, FPC can help!
There
is close link between this service and project management but FPC can
provide either or both.
Any system
implementation involves the following process stages:
Assessment
of requirements including analysis and design, process analysis
(existing process and 'to be'), gap analysis and therefore the
need for further enhancements.
Application installation and
configuration.
First level data migration (including data
extracts, cleansing and conversion)
User acceptance testing of
configuration.
Developments
User acceptance testing
of developments.
Final level data migration including master
and transaction data.
Go live
Post go live support.
Any
process implementation involves the following process stages:
Assessment
of requirements of new or amendment to existing process.
Audit
of as is process.
Confirmation of 'to be' process.
Agreement
of action plan including actions required.
Confirm change
program.
Go live.
Any process change should
become part of a continuous improvement program so that
all
processes are subject to regular reviews to ensure improvements.
